We do need to start looking for halis replacement, but you are looking for more pass rush from the DL right now.

I also don't think you necessarily are always gonna get a full time starter at the end of the first round, or at least in his first year.

We need a pass rusher from the 5 tech or the 3 tech.

(Sheldon Richardson would have done it )

But that also doesn't require one being drafted in the 1st round. If it so happens that it's BPA....then go ahead....

Yeah, I want Will Clarke in the 4th, he was significantly faster than Ealy. Ealy has a bit better bend and change of direction due to the difference in height though.

Clarke: 4.77 40 time

Ealy: 4.91 40 time.

I can see Clarke adding 15-20 pounds and becoming a 5-tech with above average explosion. Needs work on his technique and improving his ability to turn the corner though, gets washed out too easily due to his height when he rushes around the edge. He does flash the strength and ability to use his length to dominate though.

I'm really hoping that a lot of QBs go early this year. We need as many players to get pushed down to us as possible.

I don't think we need to worry. There are over 40 players who are first rd talents this year. Plenty of good WR's and pass rushers will be there in early round 2

Forgot who said it, but one of the analysts stated that he could slot as many as 45 players in the 1 st round this year.

By the way, it should be clear to others that I dont think Aaron Donald fits in a 3-4 defense. I understand that others on this messageboard feel the opposite. I dont think it benefits any of us to repeat the same argument ad Nauseam.

I have rest my case regarding Aaron Donald. You all are welcome to repeat your arguments if you choose. I would be happy to continue discussing everything other than Aaron Donald.

Your problem is that you looking at from a narrow view.

If Donald is the best interior pass rusher in this class, and you have the opportunity to take him, you adjust your subpackages to utilize the talent.

This team, as has been pointed out already, takes more snaps in subs than in base.

And, for the record, Tamba Hali played LDE in a 43 base and registered 9 sacks his rookie year.

This "doctor" can't:
A) Understand fronts
B) Understand techniques or gap integrity
C) Understand the importance of "sub" packages and what the Chiefs do from their sub alignments and personnel groupings.

Hooray.

I really don't see the chiefs going WR for a big reason. It's a heavy WR market. There are supposed to be a few good WR FA's, along with a very deep WR draft. If you can get a 1st rd talent WR in a later round, then why get one in first? I heard this year may break the record of 7 wr's in the 1st. You wouldn't want say the 5th best WR over the 2nd best CB, S, NT or even TE when they arent as deep, right?

I just hope he can teach us more about gap integrity and fronts. He seems well-versed and quite knowledgeable.
