I've heard of two of those bands. I love Steven Wilson but don't know much of his solo work so I'll check out the rest. Thank you very much. To The Bone blew me away.

Ironically, Pallbearer played a street festival in my neighborhood over the summer. Though I typically lean way more doom, I do enjoy their mix of doom/prog/rock.

I discovered Caligula's Horse this year, and although it's on a previous album (sorry - not 2017!), "City Has No Empathy Acoustic" is one of my absolute favorite songs right now. It's so incredibly good.

The newest Hummingbird of Death was my favorite from 2017. I know its faster than anyone wants to listen to, but it's worth a go just for the drum performance. Especially when you factor in he's also the vocalist.
