****2018-2019 Official NBA Regular season thread****

Didn't see anybody starting this thread so I guess I will.

Anti climatic season starts tonight and my prediction is GS vs Boston in the NBA Finals.

First 2 Games tonight on TNT with Philly vs Boston and OKC vs GS. Westbrook is out tonight so that game will be a blowout most likely.

You call this “hating” on Lebron?

Hating on Lebron = not sucking his dick 24/7

He’s the 2nd best player ever, and he has a big impact on ratings.

Nobody is hating.

Going into game 5, the Raptors were up 3-1 and GS looked like they were going to lose this series. Once GS was about to lose, the ratings shot up back to where they were with Lebron, despite no Lebron. Then GS won, the series got competitive, and the ratings were better than they’ve been in years. Excluding Canada as well.

People were clearly tired of seeing GS win it like I tried to tell you, but you shrugged it off to Lebron hate. Your investment in this doesn’t make you any less wrong.
To be fair, the ratings in game 6 was better than any last year. I don’t think they were better than in 17

Pretty sure I read that it was (and again that’s excluding Canada), but either way it doesn’t change the fact that I’m right about to the ratings impact of GS’s dominance. It’s real and to dismiss it like you did was foolish.

While Lebron is still the biggest draw, ratings will be good as long as there’s parity and it’s competitive.

Game 5 in 17 had like 25 million people

I don’t think game 6 beat that. And they always exclude Canada. Sure it would be higher with an actual Canadian team In there though

If it didn’t, it was close, and that’s also after KD went down again, which killed some of it’s momentum. I think it’s safe to say with Canada for both game 6 wins easy.

Well if one doesn't have a Canadian team in it and the other did then obviously it would be much higher if they included Canada in both.

Thanks captain obvious.

The US ratings were close either way, I was just pointing out as an additional note that with Canada this years ratings would be huge. Still doesn’t change my initial point, but we can continue to argue about semantics all day.

But even then the Canadian part further proves that ratings do not live and die by Lebron, despite him being the biggest draw/star.

GS coming back down to earth and a team like Toronto winning are all good for ratings.

it was your point.
Now I'm captain obvious?

"I think it's safe to say with Canada for both game 6 wins easily "

I was actually going to respond with "well no shit. Sherlock" by thought I'd be nicer about it.

I was saying it in response to what O.City said. I was acknowledging that it was obvious with “pretty safe to say”.

You’re just looking for an argument where there isn’t one, just like before.

Have a take or shut the **** up. You’re ****ing useless.

You rail on a lot of other peoples intelligence a lot for a guy that once locked himself in the back of an armored truck.

I did have a take.

You just dismissed it because it didn't fit your narrative.

But you do you I guess.

Btw i wasnt arguing anything, dipshit. I would think calling someone captain obvious for saying exactly what you just said would fall under the looking for an argument heading though.

Yea because I was supposed to know that the inside handle was broken and the door was going to shut on me due to a gust of wind. I was also by myself, which is extremely rare.

That was a perfect shit storm that had nothing to do with my intelligence.

O.City and I had just both acknowledged that it was obvious in an exchange, and you came in to add that it was obvious....

You were captain obvious squared.
