ESPN rates NFL franchises "Most Memorable Moment"

The Chiefs went yesterday and the obvious answer didn't even win (although it was one of 3 nominated and is running in 2nd place for some crazy reason). Teicher wrote the column so I'm not sure if he was the nominator for our candidates. If you want to see what is first, be prepared to be completely underwhelmed:

http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest/post...s-mnf-thriller

Incidentally we were the victims of another team's most memorable play. I've never heard of this play and the choice I would've made is running a close 2nd place to it:

Funny I can't even remember that one. I think 35+ years of watching bumbling made me enjoy the Green years but certainly not make any highlights.

But Otis Taylor's 46 yard catch and run TD is the most memorable.
If winning championships are important ... certainly this!

Remember guys ... even tho the Jets won the year before, most NFL experts still thought the AFL teams were really inferior to the great NFL teams, therefore this play gave us breathing room and gave the team more confidence.

Yep, all those plays mentioned above were memorable (and a whole bunch more), but if we are talking about team history ... gotta be Lenny to Otis!

I remember both these plays very vividly. Any Chief's fan over 35 certainly knows the Montana Monday Night Football magic vs Elway. I can't disagree with this choice although the 3 Stenerud misses in the Longest Game Ever Played still stick out to me although I was only 10 years old.

The Peyton run was funny because he looked like a pinball bouncing off the bumpers. I used to equate that run with the way Earl Campbell used to plow people over.

I certainly wasn't alive to remember it, but I'd have voted for the Otis Taylor TD in Super Bowl IV. Memorable doesn't equal "I remember seeing it live."

We all would never have OT memorable play against the Vikes if not for Bobby Bell.

In the playoffs against SB champs Jets with the game on the line and Jets driving with 1st down inside the 10. Bobby Bell took over that series locking down Matt Snell then running Old Joe OOB's. Jets had to settle for a Field Goal and Chiefs went on to win 10-6.

Wish I could find highlights that series by Bell. This was memorable to me as I was 14 years old.

sounds like ESPN should have asked the fans.
I bet this is going on with a lot of teams boards.

Duane Rudd was the most improbable play. What an idiot.

Sick catch by Willie Davis against the Oilers in the '93 playoffs(after dropping an easy TD in the 1st half). Put the Chiefs up 21-13 in the 4th quarter.
