I don't see many Chiefs games.

No QB would have been effective behind that porous offensive line tonight. Alex Smith is a good QB and a master of the short passing game when he has adequte pass protection. I'm not talking elite pass protection like Romo - just average. His pass protection was WELL below average tonight. If that has been typical this season, then no wonder your offense is so hamstrung.

According to Football Outsiders, the Chiefs offensive line was ranked #22 in the league going into tonight's game. That's poor. Not as poor as the 49ers 30th ranked pass protection, but poor.

KC is 10th in run blocking but only 22nd in pass protection. Keep running the ball.

You can't blame Alex if he has little to no time to throw. I did not see a sack I would blame him for. Every sack was on the Offensive line being offensive.

Being down by 14 right off the bat and playing from behind all game probably had some influence on playcalling. But yeah, got to somehow get our rbs involved more considering our weak pass protection.

You do know that Charles is pretty good at catching the ball right?

Afterall, he was KC's leading receiver last season.

Sure. Charles is arguably the best all purpose back in the league right now. I was kinda wondering why we did not have in extra blockers kinda like Denver did early on and run outside.

Reid had a hand in helping build that 14 point deficit.

Our first possession featured three straight passes then a punt.

Then, after we converted that 4th down and put some points on the board you'd think Reid would let Jamaal get a few more stabs at it.. Nope.

Yeah, that is always the problem. You want to feature him every game. Sure the opposing DC will know it, but who cares. He is your best play maker. Ride him.

Makes no sense for Charles to see less than 25 touches a game.

The only reason the Chiefs offensive line isn't dead last in pass protection by a wide margin is the fact that Reid and Smith have been hiding their deficiencies all year with short passing game and getting the ball out as fast as anyone in the league. The offensive line is beyond suck. I was pleasantly surprised when it appeared that they were able to still be effective, but it has been blatently obvious the last several weeks beginning with the Bills. Charles can't run through it, Smith doesn't even have time for short passing anymore behind it. It's just a complete dumpster fire.

Why did the Chiefs pick Dee Ford again? Is he still on the team?
