That's really not half bad, those guys have potential... lets face it, its only a matter of time before 80's style rock makes a comeback, if the cycle goes as usual it should start happening any day now.

Maroon 5, Black Keys, Snow Patrol or whatever other stuff is going on now... that's just not gonna cut it forever, at some point people are gonna wanna ROCK again..

You're probably gonna say I'm nuckin futs, Poz... but parts of that sounded TOTALLY like Jimi Hendrix to me, as I was listening my first thought was "heres a Hendrix song I could probably master in about 10-15 minutes".

Actually, they put out an album in late 2012 and have been touring lately. At least until Justin starts the smack again.

And you should like this song. They're a GREAT band. You have to acknowledge the fact that they're really not serious about it and just enjoy it for what it is - mindless rocking fun.

I wouldn't lump Black Keys in there with Maroon 5 and Snow Patrol. Some good heavy guitar rock is out there…just not necessarily 80s style metal. Black Keys, The Heavy, anything that Jack White is a part of, Black Motorcycle Club, etc.

There are remnants of the 80's metal SOUND everywhere. The problem is that, as the 80's came to a close, the "sound" became power ballads and the "music" became music videos of guys with girl hair.

80's commercial metal survives to this day in a great many bands that it influenced to varying degrees. Even some of these stoner bands were influenced by it (even if they won't admit it).
