Indeed.
If I had my way, we would all be equal and live in harmony with each other and we would all have nice houses and have nice things and all people would work together in every aspect of humanity... But here, in the really real world, I know that it's not that way. I'm not afraid of being called a "racist"; I know what I am and what I am not.

In fact...the most racist people I've ever met were black people. People that hated EVERYONE...except other black people. Even black people they had never met. I worked next to them. Have full conversations (??) of indecipherable babble, talk about crap that is absolutely meaningless with someone that will (and did) stab them in the back...but treat me and any other non-African American with a paranoia and distrust and absolute distaste...now THAT would be considered racism...but, since I didn't care about what they thought of me, I didn't organize a March or start a coalition or call the press or anything.
I just kept coming back to work. And they didn't. And that's what happened.
