Seriously - who would pay money to be frightened?

Your sig is various gambling sites. So I'll assume you wager on sporting events. Your quoted statement is funny considering these facts, no? Unless of course you think your desire to wager money has nothing to do with the chemicals released by your brain while viewing a game you have placed a wager on. You sir, are also paying money to be frightened just on a smaller and less obvious level.

Overall i thought they did a great job with the movie. My only criticism would be the new-ish style of banter/dialogue that you see in modern movies. Not sure how to describe it. That ad lib feeling stuff they do that comes off as unnatural. But it's a minor critique. Overall, great job. I thought it was a great hommage to the original.

After letting it a settle for a day, my opinion on the movie has grown stronger. It was already a good movie in my book, but I was able to reflect on it all and see the big picture more clearly. I think I just got up out of my seat a little confused after first viewing because it ends so abruptly.
I wish I had watched it without looking at trailers but that’s hard to do. I’m gonna watch it again but if I was grading it right now, I’d say it’s the best Halloween since ‘78. |
