Movies and TV Netflix: The OA - Page 2

Anyone watching this? I watched the first episode a bit ago to try it out. Over the course of the episode I think I grew to dislike every single character on the show. The main character is just annoying as all hell. But, for some reason, I am interested in finding out what is going on. It's another one of those purposefully vague shows where you have to figure out what's going on and not much is explained. And that's my weakness unfortunately. It also had some compelling scenes with interesting visuals. I'm going to give it a try even though I found myself cringing at it here and there-and that's only one episode in.

You left out the part about making really dumb sounds at the same time. Enjoyed the start of this but the dance stuff is a big WTF. Have two episodes left and not optimistic.

Oh yeah. Can't forget the weird noises to go along with the stupid-as-hell modern dance moves. Just plow through the last two episodes and try not to be angry about how ridiculous the finale scene is. Because it really is goofy as ****.

Just back away. In the end, you do not need to see the dead body from which the smell emanates.

First two episodes were a 7...last 2 were a 2.

Trying to watch the last 2 eps right now to see the dead body and having a difficult time.

I missed a little of the ending because I was laughing too hard. What a weird show that was and quite the collapse sometime around episode 5. Up to that point much of it was oddly intriguing.

Man, what a painful mix of intrigue and letdown. The premise was really cool, despite the clunky writing. But the further it progresses, the more it became an unfortunate comedy. The dance-off stuff reminded me of Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen doing that SNL skit where they try and synchronize each other's song and dance. Who the **** thought that would ever be a good idea. The final scene in the school lunchroom had me actually laughing, it was so goofy.

I thought it was brilliant, and I think some of you are missing the point - especially with the dancing aspect. Check out some of these fan theories and particularly note the East-Asian influences of the movement.
