Tyreek winning in TRIPLE coverage

LOL it was so funny seeing those three DB's trailing In his wake yesterday . But for those with short memories, this is the SECOND time he's won in triple coverage in the last four games that he's played in. He did exactly the same to Miami last season in week 16 (though granted it didn't go for a TD) when Smith launched a big throw downfield on 3rd and 15. So the question is, Is there a chance this could become a regular thing now that he has someone who can air the ball out regularly? How will defenses adapt to this without leaving gaping holes?

DOn't think it really matters if it was backups or not. No one is going to stay with Tyreek 70 yards down the field.

Boom Ch Ka. It be the perfect storm offensive if the oLine doesn't step on its own dick.
All Defenses have to do is play the run on the way to the QB, not giving Mahomes any time while corralling the run game.

That maybe true if our O line sucks ball sack but last year K Hunt lead the league in yards and Alex Smiff happened to have his best year passing is that a coincidence?

Mahomes has a quick release and can flick it out there so teams are still going get burnt if they are trying crash down the run game and pressure the quarterback. They are also going find ways to get Tyreek the ball like on reverse plays so Andy Reid does a good job on over aggressive defense. Lets also not discount Patrick rolling out of the pocket to buy himself time and he is a great improviser and our receivers don't quit on the play because they know Patrick is going push the field.

I am concerned about our offensive line but we have weapons and a quarterback that has "testicular fortitude"

The play that people are making a big deal about was the 1st string offense vs Atlanta's roster bubble/practice squad players.

For instance, #38 was a UDFA from Robert Morris named Marcelis Branch.

So what? It's still likely going happen during regular season and often. Mahomes can buy time with scrambling and Tyreek is still going streak by DBs so they will have some success take risk/reward. Yes it's likely there will be INTs bound to happen but look at Peyton Mannings first few seasons he threw a buttload of INT they're gonna happen but the touchdowns are gonna also happen and as long as the ratio is in Chiefs favor it's all good.

Mahomes Hill connection is real and it's gonna happen and and it's gonna be fun to watch.

I don't see any reason to downplay a big play that you can't help who you line up against he beat three professional football players.

There is plenty of reason to downplay it. That's Tyreek Hill, a guy who is capable of burning top tier, starting DBs with his pure speed, against a bunch of no-name fringe NFL players who probably won't even make the roster. And you guys are going nuts over it.

I suppose Reid kept Mahomes in because he wants to help the kid build up confidence after the poorly advised INT thrown earlier in the game to the backup safety, Damontae Kazee. I don't blame Reid, especially not after the INT plagued camp that Mahomes put up.

That's just so short-sighted. It isn't about that the play worked. It's that our qb can make the throw after avoiding pressure. That's what is exciting Not that we got those exact seven points We all know Hill will get open against 1st string corners.

Andy said Mahomes was playing the first half. Just like next week the starters will play into the third quarter it's planned coaching that way.

Patrick is going torch defenses with his arm and Hill is going catch many of those thrown his way. We do need to concern ourselves with the offensive line that is the only thing that is curving my enthusiasm but a 68 yard bomb in the air for a touchdown was pretty impressive even if he was playing third string. It's going happen during the season against first string they are more than capable of doing it.

We should be excited we long for such things that we haven't seen and being our own draft pick after 40 years of neglecting the quarterback in the draft this is pretty damn special eventful year.

It was a fun play to watch and Alex Smiff wouldn't have made that play.

If you watch KC in person first thing you should notice is that Tyreek would routinely outrun 2 deep coverages when running decoy/clearing routes last year (against STARTERS). It wasn't something that our old QB could capitalize on though, because you gotta have a cannon to allow Hill to clear the defenders. Alex tried a few times and usually ended up underthrowing him by 20 yards... and most of the time Hill made the adjustment and caught it anyway.

Being able to do this will break defenses.

85/1400/10 Reek goes elite this year. It's the reason I laughed off people who said/continue saying Watkins will be the #1 guy. Bullshit. Hill is far better than many seem to realize.

Great point.

It's been proven that Tyreek Hill is only capable of running past 3rd stringers.

If only Kc had any evidence that Tyreek Hill was capable of beating a starting caliber player or making spectacular plays against starters, but there's just none of it. He ONLY beats people in preseason! There's no precedent for him beating STARTERS!

I mean once teams put their starting safeties in (all of whom run 4.2's) Reek will never be able to outrun them. He never has. There's just not any safeties Tyreek can outrun.

Who the **** is this reerun?

Ban all of the Alexsexuals. They only want to critique and see Mahomes fail.
