Anybody here ever actually run the 40?
Curious to see if we have any other athletes out here.

I don't have a stopwatch. Maybe I should see if one of my friends does and get some jackass to time me.

What's your 40 time?

Actually I had 8... 3 in Cross Country, 2 in Wrestling, and 3 in Track. I was a distance runner ONLY, so I'm sure my 40 time would have been pretty damn slow in comparison to others. But, quit acting as if there weren't any athletic whities out there. For a "Honkie" I graduated Male Athlete of the Year, Scholar Athlete of the Year, and Regional Athlete of the Year. Just because Claythan was a slow and overweight student in HS, doesn't mean all of us were.

I had 8 varsity letters as well...

I have dozens of super athletic friends...all white.

Doesn't mean they are running 4.5's and obviously people don't realize how fast legit 4.5 is...

No worries I didn't take it that way. Like I said they probably clocked it fast. It was 25 years ago it really doesn't matter anymore.

I probably couldn't run a 6 now and have to take break half way through.

Completely different type of running. If Usain was training for a 40, he would turn in a better time. Running the 100 is nothing like a 40 yd dash.

I ran a 4.5 in the 40 and 10.8 in the 100. Two completely different running styles with both.
