Upgrading my phone. Cheap ATT phone to LG G2. Advice?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-G2-Latest...item27f252e421

Looking at upgrading my current phone. Anyone have the LG G2 linked above? Currently I use a AT&T Tribute/Fusion 3...
http://www.att.com/esupport/article....B425444&cv=820
and my backup is a Nokia Lumia 635 windows phone...
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/phone/lumia635/

Both are low end phones. I really like the Windows phone but the lack of google apps blows it for me.

I already know this blows away my cheapy phones from last Christmas but is it worth the money to upgrade?

I don't know about "easy." They are a pain in the ass to get lined up correctly by just dropping it on the screen. I think I redid mine like 4 times before it was straight.

I've seen people make hinges with tape, though. They'll put the screen protector on the phone peel side down, line up the screen protector, and take a couple pieces of tape and tape the screen protector and the phone to where the screen protector wont move. Then they'll flip the screen protector back, peel the sticker off, and then flip it back on the phone, and remove the tape. Seemed like an easier way to get it lined up perfectly.

I meant compared to wet or the dry flimsy poly type these are a breeze. This was the first time Id used this type took me about 1 minute and placement was perfect as I stated above per instructions that came with the tempered glass. Maybe I just lucked out. Oh and mine came with a alcohol wipe to get fingerprints off the screen and a lil plastic card to squeegee air bubbles.

I've never had the G2, but I had the G3. I don't agree with this, from what I've read.

I haven't read reviews on each phone, but that's not a review.

Things I like about the G3 vs the G2 is the focus on the camera, removable battery, and expandable storage.

One thing I really don't like about the G3 is that they went back to the speaker being on the back of the phone. Rather they have kept it on the bottom, or better yet on the front.

The rest of it is a gimmick, imo. The higher res screen is a joke. I can zoom in max value on text on 1080p with this 5.2" screen and not see a single stair step. How you can get better is beyond me.

The other stuff like style is subjective.

These are very good reasons to upgrade. I liked the speaker. I had a Note 3 and the speaker was on bottom and sucked. As far as I know, HTC is the only one putting speakers on the front.

Motorola and Sony also do front speakers.

Came in today. Great phone. The only thing I was disppointed with is the volume level for music. When I plug it into my stereo I have to crank the stereo volume up much higher than my last phone needed.

i.e. what only needed about a level of 21 on my old phone now needs to go to 42 on this phone. Yes, I double checked that the volume on the phone was max.

Battery life doesn't seem very good. Lost 20% in the last 2 hours doing nothing on it but checking my email. This is after updating to lollipop and doing a complete factory data reset twice.

Check your usage manager and look to see what apps are draining your battery. I've heard people say that since Lollipop that the AT&T app "Locker" was really draining their battery. I have all of their apps disabled and I don't notice any difference with the battery. I can still go about 2 days on a charge.

I already had disabled all ATT bloat.

anyway, right now my new problem is that I can't move any music files to the device because it doesn't offer a MTP option on lollipop. JFC i regret updating it.

Might be the USB drivers installed on your computer instead. Lollipop itself handles MTP just fine.

Pc can't see the phone at all. Seems to be a common problem for this phone according to other forums
