I understand it's a popcorn franchise flick. But it was poorly put together IMO...VERY cheesy one-liners from most of the main cast and horrible acting esp from Michelle Rodriguez. I understand some things had to be re-done, re-written due to Paul Walker's death etc, but I'm not sure how much of that resulted in the overall cheesiness and suckage that was this movie.

I mean car jumping from skyscraper to skyscraper and somehow coming out of that alive . Hobbs flexing, busting out of his cast? . Guess I've just grown up. Maybe a 16 yr old would think this movie kicks ass. I just thought it was silly as hell.

I mean, I remember driving home from the first F&F movie when I was 16-17 yrs old and flyin down roads 30-40mph over the limit jammin out to some Rob Zombie. I remember speed traps being set up over the weekends because like myself, this movie was making 16 yr olds drive like maniacs all over town. I remember some people saying that many weekends Noland Rd became a qtr mile track around the time of that movie's release.

Anyways...this movie was silly...but it could be just because it's a popcorn flick for a teenager. I'll see almost anything w/ The Rock in it, which is primarily why I went and saw it. Came out disappointed.
It was terrible. I was floored that it was so highly reviewed. FLOORED. How they have made 7 of these things is beyond me. I guess people just like explosions and action regardless of how ridiculous it is.

It was fun I guess. But I just can't turn my mind off enough for these kind of movies. The dialogue was cringeworthy and the action scenes for the most part were ridiculous as ****. I can't really give a **** about the characters if you pretty much make them invisible for the whole movie. When no one dies or gets hurt in any of the ridiculous shit in a movie, all the suspense is taken away.

The ending was kind of cool though. I'll give it that. Other than that, not too dissimilar from a Michael Bay movie.

These movies are pure shit, but even I admit I'll sit down and completely turn my brain off to watch one from time to time. Was it 6 or 5 where they ripped the bank vault out of a military building and drug it through a city with two supercharged Chargers? Dumb as all ****ing get out, but entertaining on some base level.

That was 5. To me the best one of the series. But that movie was the start to the ridiculous **** physics type shit they've done the past 2 movies.

And one more thing -

I know these movies have a loyal following base, but let's not kid ourselves....Paul Walker himself made this movie a metric ****ton of money. We'll never know what it would have been if he hadn't passed, but because of it, people flocked to see him in his last performance.

I agree. From an artistic standpoint, they are shit. But, if you make a BILLION $ there is too much money to be made. They will keep making these movies until 2 movies in a row flop.

This. It would have been a hit still, but no where near 1.4 billion dollars if Walker hadn't passed.
