I've been nursing beers since noon watching these games. I've got a big ass mug of water I'm drinking at the same time. Refilled it 4 or 5 times so far. Stay hydrated and you're miles ahead of the game. Now I'll probably be tired tomorrow but not head pounding/worthless hungover.

So I had to look this up.

Aspirin and alcohol is relatively safe. Aspirin can cause some stomach distress, if you take a lot of it and have had a lot to drink, otherwise the most you might expect is some nausea.

Tylenol is more 'scary,' but not really a big deal either. The issue is that your liver uses the same chemical compound to process both Tylenol and Alcohol. Complete depletion of that chemical compound can result in liver damage.

But we're talking about quite a lot of either alcohol or Tylenol. An adult can typically take as much as 4,000mg of Tylenol a day without harm. So you'd have to either take more Tylenol than that, or drink a large amount of alcohol and take a fairly large dose of Tylenol to create a situation that might be harmful to your liver.

So if you're not habitual about either taking Tylenol or drinking a lot of alcohol, taking a couple Tylenol after a single night of binge drinking shouldn't be a big deal.

Mystery solved.

Alcohol and aspirin both have antiplatelet activity.

Can't go wrong with those prescriptions, like Pablo I keep a huge insulated tumbler of water with me pretty much 24/7 drinking alcohol or not... but it gets refilled constantly when I'm soaking up Grandpa's cough medicine

Along with plenty of sleep as KCU points out, there really isn't anything that can replace sleep

Back during my power drinking days, often I'd get so drunk so fast that I'd be sober by the time I finally went to sleep. The next morning I'd be fine, other than dealing with the consequences of whatever stupid shit I'd done. It helped that I always hated cheap shitty beer and cheap shitty beer was all I could afford/what was available, so I chugged it down as fast as possible.

The last time I got falling down stupid drunk was New Years Eve of 1996. I drank an unknown number of beers, an unknown amount of champagne, and the better part of a fifth of southern in shots. By midnight I had already been cut off by a very perturbed bartender and couldn't even stand. My friends just propped me up in the corner and went about their business.

After that night I determined to never again make such a drunken ass of myself in public. And I never have. I still drink, and I'll get hammered from time to time, but not like that. I'm too old for that shit now anyway.
