This is totally unnecessary on Bowe's part. CP posters have assured us that the problems last year were because of Smith, not because of Bowe.

Bowe needs to read CP more often. And eat Bon Bons.

He came in looking sharp last season, put in his work for Haley as well... he's a good kid and a great story.

Gonna be BIG year for Bowe, I'd bet the farm.
I've been pounding this drum HARD.
This guy is going to go Boss status this season.

People were actually blaming Smith when Bowe got punked by a dude half his size on slant route, so, yeah.
Bowe half assed it, and Reid punished him for it, till late in the season. He's gonna give him the chance to shine now, and he will.
Great Coaching.
I loved how Haley transformed a cpl of our other players with the same tactic, only Reid didn't even have to be a cock while doing it.

No ****s were given. Come talk to me when our ****ing defense can protect a 28 point lead.
When they can do that, I'll gladly discuss Bowe's training plan.

It was Smith and Bowe's fault we lost that game.

Smith didn't do some things that could have protected that lead in the second half.

The blame for the loss isn't on him, but that doesn't mean he gets the Trent Green treatment after the 2003 loss to the Colts.

God, **** that ****ing team in the ****ing dick. If an evil James Bond villain captured me and told me I had to pick one large US city with a population over one million to completely annihilate or else he'd blow the entire world up, I'd pick Indianapolis.

Sure it will.

If he actually applies the training to game time situations and the work put in on route running, timing, hands, etc., translates to actual production he'll most definitely see the ball. A lot. They really don't have anyone else at this point. But that won't guarantee that he'll see the ball if he shows up like he did in 2013.

Smith and Reid's system wants a receiver to be in a specific place at a specific time so that the field is set up for that receiver to maximize field spacing for RAC.

Bowe has always been a "chuck it up dawg!" type of receiver. Blame LSU and Jamarcus. Blame Cassel. Whatever. But he's never had good timing and his route running sucks shit through a straw. (Or at least it has to date.) He's big, strong and was, at one time, fast. (Ran a 4.51 at the Combine and a 4.40 flat at his Pro Day.) 33" vertical and a broad jump over 10'. He wasn't a slouch athletically. He was a slouch at learning the craft and applying it to the field because he's always been bigger, stronger and faster than the other guy and that was enough. (Remember that he never played football until his junior year of high school, but still got a scholarship to an elite football school with only two years of total football playing behind him. That in and of itself speaks about his athletic ability alone.)

But he was lazy/unmotivated because of it, Haley called him on it and, remarkably enough, it motivated him. However, he got his money, got complacent again, smoked a shit ton of weed and looked like shit for the most part last season. (Remember when he said he'd lead the league in TD's before last season? He was envisioning that with Smith and his accuracy in Reid's system, he'd be able to kick ass without doing too much in the off-season/summer. However, he was wrong and Smith wasn't going to throw the ball to a guy who wasn't where he was supposed to be and who was being blanketed by crap. Bowe got his fricking lunch ate by horrible DB's all season long.)

Hopefully, he's not so stupid that he realizes that he's now playing for his personal history and team/league legacy. Smith is an exponentially better QB than he's ever had, Reid's system is a much better system, and Bowe better put the work in or he's going to be a cap casualty on the wrong side of 30.

Dee Ford is going to save the pass rush. They'll all be super fresh this season.

Haven't you heard? A 1st round OG would have led us to the Superbowl. Well that and some Mormon kid. Doesn't really matter what position he played.....as long as he was Mormon.

When Smith is running for his life and Charles is averaging under 3 ypc because the interior of our offensive line is getting blown up, remember how happy you were that they used their first rounder on Dee Ford.

A lot of what I've made bold is supposition on your part.

For all you know Bowe couldn't care less about the system and went in to 2013 assuming he'd be acing touchdowns because, again in his mind, who the **** is Alex going to throw to downfield? Donnie Avery? McCluster?

Now the fact that he's lost weight is a good sign that he got a wakeup call for being a dumbass trolling neighborhoods for stoner meals at 1am. That speaks to an overall level of improved focus from last season to now. But unless any two players of Avery / [insert #1 TE] / Jenkins / Hemingway / Dressler prove to be guys that can beat single coverage and will be consistently targeted by Alex for big gains, focus won't really matter much if he's got two or three d-backs on him.

To be fair, drafting an OG would signal the front office doesn't care about winning this year and are building for a run 2-4 seasons down the road.

Smith will be running for his life, but it's far more likely that he does it because of the giant mountain of AIDS we have at LT than it is because of our RG.
