AP: Is Donald Stephenson ready to be the Chiefs' starting right tackle?

This thing's a few days old, but I was pretty intrigued by the analysis. This guy previously did a look at Rishaw Johnson in the Chargers game, and here he is looking at Donald Stephenson in the Colts game.

It doesn't answer much (the final conclusion is basically "He's got the potential to be a solid starter") but it does shed some light on the good things that Stephenson did well in the Colts game. Yeah, most of this is sunny and only looks at one of the pressures he gave up, but a zero sack game is a zero sack game. I was also unaware that Alex Smith's strip sack came when Stephenson wasn't on the field and it was instead Schwartz on the play at RT.

If someone else wants to copy/paste then be my guest, but with all the images in the post I'm not going to take the time to link each one.

If this were the Chiefs in my Madden universe, I'd say Donald needs a bit more "Snickers awareness"

Im not worried about Stephenson. He proved that he can play in more than 1 game. However, I AM worried about Fish, Allen, Hudson, and Johnson...
I'm not worried about RG. We've got a metric butt ton of competition for that spot. One dude who doesn't suck is bound to rise to the top.

Hudson had a couple WTF plays last year, but he's still solid. We're good with him.

Fisher and Allen are the deeply concerning parts. The entire left flank. Nice job, Dorsey

I think Stephenson will be our best lineman this season. Just a feeling, of course..

Sacoshit will be all over this thread, and he'll be right, for once.

Stephenoson was incredibly raw coming out and would have benefitted greatly from another year in school.

But he has real potential to be an outstanding OT, which makes drafting Fisher all the more stupid.

Hopefully he and Allen will step up this year after spending much of the offseason working with LeCharles Bentley.

As for Hudson, I thought he would take about 3 years to really get comfortable with the transition to center, so this year should be really telling for him.

Other than Hudson having some huge higlight moments last year I'm in complete agreement...

Hes ready. Chiefs offense should be dynamite this year as long as everyone stays healthy.

I see your point about RG, and you're right...So I'm now "only" worried about the whole left side of the OL + Hudson. LT and LG absolutely scare the hell out of me.

I really feel for the poor suckers who have to write about the Chiefs each year. Who are you going to write about? The 18th best QB in the league? The 30th best WR? Old man Hali? There is very little exciting about this team since Green and Holmes.
