The thing I'm afraid of is how long it takes for the team to start gelling and playing within the new systems. I'm afraid we could 1-3 after the Giants game, but if they start to get it together then, before a rash of easier games, this team could easily compete for the AFC West or a wildcard.

And the defensive line scares me.... we'll see I guess.

Don't tell anyone, I mean ANYONE I told you this but...the DL doesn't mean jack squat if you have 3 solid pass-rushing LB's...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Assuming we somehow tackle the running back for a loss on first down of course.

First off: I think the 9er fan who made that should've avoided using the Battlestar version of All Along the Watchtower but that's just me.

Second off: I think the idea is Crabtree = Bowe, Davis = Kelce? Fasano? Moeaki? with how plays were set up.

I guess I wouldn't have a problem with this.. except for the fact that's now how Andy Reid does things soooooooo.

Thank you, this is what pisses me off about the naysayers, especially the ones that say Cassel 2.0.

Of that 5 minutes of footage, Cassel made maybe 3 of those plays in his whole career.

There are game managers, and THEN there are smart, mobile accurate game managers. Aikman was never Favre, Young, Manning or Rodgers, but he has a shit-ton of gilt on his fingers because he knew what the situation needed at all times.

That's different from the 2010 Cassel game manager, where it's 'hey, our competition Suh-hu-huh-UCKS all season long, so hand the ball off as often as possible and throw away any passing down that mystifies you in the least, we'll get them later.' And it's WAY THE **** different from Cassel game manager against real compeition, where his uniform was fitted with a PEX line from anus to ankle for the most efficient way to shit down one's leg.

I'd love for someone to compile a video of the most boneheaded mistakes AS has committed on field. Not things he failed to produce, but things he did to the detriment of the team. We've seen Cassel's, some boggle the mind, some are eligible for AFI designation of greatest comedies in history.

Be smart
Be mobile
Be accurate
Be an asset

That's what I expect of AS right now

When we finally rise to a playoff level team, I will also expect

Be clutch.

I have full faith as I stand here right now AS will deliver.

I am metaphysically certain we are light years ahead of the Cassel era.

Interestingly, my family and I noted back when mullets/long hair was the rage in the 80s, that I was physically incapable of long hair in the back. The hair on top of my head grows like a weed to this day. I can be Marines ready after a haircut and 4 weeks later I have a Conan O'Brien pompadour up top. But in back it grows at a glacial pace and most just bunches up. I've never in my life had my hair touch my collar and I made several converted efforts in my youth.

EDIT TO ADD: I'm not counting those shitty neck wisps that come up when I don't keep them in check. Back hair? nope. Ear hair? nope. Neck hair? you bet your sweet bippy.
