Who do Chiefs pick at 18? Who do you pick at 18?

Ok, folks, we're just under a month to go before the draft, and I thought it might be interesting to see who some of the CP Heavyweights think the Chiefs will draft at #18. For extra credit, please note who you'd select at #18.

Of course, we don't know who might be available at that slot, but I think most probably have a decent idea of who might be available. Anyway, this is your chance to go "on record" as per the 2015 draft.

Note that I stuck this in The Lounge as there doesn't seem to be too much other football stuff going right now. I would ask the mods to please move it if/as needed.

I'll start:

Chiefs: DT Malcom Brown
Meatloaf: WR Jaelen Strong

I won't be around for the draft this year, but for the sake of the board I hope Mariotta is there when the Chiefs pick. No matter what happens, the next hour will be the best sixty minutes in ChiefsPlanet history.

The Chiefs will probably select C Cameron Erving, Florida State.

At this point, that's the pick I most support. Though there are several good options.

If Mariota is there at 18 you wouldn't take him?

You can continue to post this every single day but it still doesn't make it true.

No to Erving.

The Chiefs aren't going to find a player who puts the current roster over the top and into contention.

Might as well address a weak spot and build the roster for a future QB.

I like Kevin Johnson a whole lot. I'm on the CB train. Top 2 QB's will be long gone and WR can be had in round 2.

No he doesn't.

He's not playing center.

He's 6'5", 315 lb. with 34 1/8" arms, enormous hands and a good kickslide. He's built long with good athleticism. His strength is in his punch and redirect.

He was first team All-American as a junior at left tackle. He was third team All-Conference at center his senior year.

No one is playing Cam Erving at center.

With Eric Fisher, Jeff Allen, Don Stephenson and Derrek Sherrod on roster, this team does not need another tackle who is going to be a project, which Erving will be. I think he's got the tools to be a serviceable to pretty good left tackle at the next level but they aren't above and beyond what you are going to find in those four dudes.

KC is probably going to pull a Dee Ford type of pick...and protect themselves in case Fisher is indeed a bust. Which is a smart move...with 10 picks, you go after the money positions first...QB, CB, LT and WR
