I really don't understand why the Ray Rice situation was seemingly handled by the league/Goodell, but with the AP situation, the team was apparently making the decisions--despite AP actually being indicted and charged. Rice wasn't even arrested.

Who the **** is physically hitting a 1 year old? A swat on the diapered rear I'm not going to get all worked up about. I don't want to get into how anyone else raises their child. That being said, society has to have boundaries that you can't cross.

I thinking not beating a 1 year old is an easy boundary.

As I've stated, I never hit my kid. I think physical punishment is a short term easy solution that parents use. They see it works. I beat that kid and now he doesn't do it anymore. IMHO, it doesn't produce the desired long term solution that you are trying to instill in your children, making good thoughtful decisions on their own. Believing in your version of right and wrong.

I'm not for outlawing spanking or anything like that. I disagree with it, but this is America and we need to prevent our society from dictating how Parents raise their kids. It's a slippery slope.
