Hug Your Family and Tell Them You Love Them Today - The Dog Too

I don't know about you guys but I didn't sleep a wink last night.

The events yesterday, though not of the same magnitude, reminded me the events of 9/11 and how we should all pull together at this time.

As I prepare to battle the masses in Houston's legendary morning rush hour traffic, I would like to encourage everyone to hug their family and tell them how much you love them today. Don't forget the family pet.

It's times like these that remind me of how fragile life is and how it can be over in the blink of an eye. We don't know what's coming and how long we have on this earth so let's cherish the time we have here.

We all have different political viewpoints and different opinions of things and that's OK. We're allowed to have them and that's what makes America great, why others want to come here, and why some people who don't have this freedom hate us.

We can respectfully disagree with each other, that's OK.

But no one, I mean no one will destroy America.

Its sad what happened, but dont let a few idiots ruin your day. It would be different i guess if i knew someone who was hurt. People die tragically every day in this country.

I was thinking about this a bit, and the thing about a marathon is that it's a REALLY easy target compared to most. 26 miles of open space to "defend". So many points of access you can't even count them all. Lots of people coming, leaving, milling around. Hotels right next to the race lines. It's a security nightmare.

Compare to a stadium -- limited points of entry, easy to conduct bag checks, etc. Just alot easier to control that environment.

The next potential target people are talking about is July 4th. If you've seen it on A&E, it's HUGE here. There's anywhere from 500,000 to a million people packed onto the Esplanade (along the Charles River) like sheep.

They were talking about this last night. Tragically the Boston Marathon and similar events make perfect targets, fortunately while still tragic, the timing of this one helped make it far less horrific than it could have been.

Our government should have never opened the doors to all the foreigners supposedly coming here to better their lives. I remember back in Independence Kansas I lived across from the college and I would be playing soccer in my driveway and there was an Iranian that would stop and play with me daily when he was leaving school.

That was around 1972 !

Our government began in this country as the foreigners....

You know how it's done and done easily?

That big !@#$ing trashcan at the turnstiles where you throw your cans before you go in the gates. People throw bottles of God knows what in there then they stand in line for 20 minutes while people slowly creep into the stadium. The things are right at the front of the line where there's the densest pack of people. They're full of glass bottles, etc... that will create plenty of shrapnel.

You can fit a hell of a pipe bomb in a brown bottle that looks like a handle of something. If you're coordinate enough, you put guys at every gate and a bomb with a 3 minute delay on it. You toss it when you get scanned, you go inside, head up the causeway and watch the world burn.

It wouldn't be easy to get anything inside the stadium, but you could absolutely kill/injure hundreds if not thousands by putting bottle bombs in the trash cans at the turnstiles.
