But that doesn't mean he's an elite QB.

He's not a top 5 QB, but top 10, certainly. When Brady, Brees and Manning retire he will very quickly be top 5.

Hootie shitting all over Tom Brady is pretty funny. 95% of the Patriots dominant surrounding cast from his 3 SB titles have been retired for years.
And Brady is still going to SB's without them. Comparing that to Russell Wilson is a fallacy.

Rodgers almost got to another Super Bowl by doing absolutely nothing in the NFCCG last week (0 1st downs in the 4th quarter) Tom Brady admitted he was terrible in the Lee Evans AFCCG that they won in 2011. We all know Peyton has had a slew of bad playoff games, one that is often referenced is against KC in his Super Bowl year where he was pretty bad and his team won. I don't know what else I can do on this board. I have devoted thousands of posts proving you can make any QB look like a choker if you really want to ... I could analyze all 21 of Tom's playoff wins and conclude he was below average or not the most important factor of his team winning that game in over half of them. It's ridiculous. This is the most ridiculous debate ever. Andrew Luck has had 3 terrible playoff games in his career so far and gets a pass for every one because he's Andrew Luck. Russell Wilson put up an 88 QBR in a Super Bowl, won, and he's Alex Smith. ...it's just hilarious |

That was tongue in cheek. It's gets old that a great leader and clutch QB like Russel gets no credit because of the great D. I remember the pats having a pretty damn God D when Brady won B2B 10 years ago

I do still think Seattle's defense gets shortchanged though. They are doing this in an era where the rules and style of play are completely slanted to the offense. And they still go out there and dominate.

this isn't a point I was even discussing I compared "game manager" Tom to "game manager" Russell ... which is an absolutely perfect comparison. Now, try and think back to 2003 after Tom won his 2nd Super Bowl in 3 years. Would you have considered him an elite QB after that 2nd Super Bowl? Yes or no. |

Dwight Clarks "the catch" was after Montana threw 3 picks.

But I disagree on your second sentence. If those 3 retire tomorrow, you would still take Wilson over the following QB's? Big Ben Luck Eli (look at his year last year with better talent) Joe Flacco Rodgers

I just find it hilarious that when Tom loses, every year, it's because "he doesn't have enough weapons." Russell Wilson throws the ball to Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and Luke Willson. Why do some QB's get every excuse, and then other QB's get treated to the other end of the spectrum? It's ridiculous. GoChargers literally said he would let Russell Wilson walk before he'd give him an extension. This is an actual post. ...it's just, wow |
