What if Smith gets hurt?

I think most sane fans want Mahomes to sit behind Smith for a year. If Smith were to get hurt do you scrap the plan and play the rookie or ride it out with Bray and hope he plays well and turns into trade bait?

Unfortunately, I have to hope for Smith's safety although I would not mind seeing Bray take a few snaps because watching Alex play is like massaging your balls with a cheese-grater.

So there's that.

So, stay healthy Alex, play your last season, then pack it up and take your jank-ass fan club with you, please.

Once Alex has a bad game ... win or lose, the chants for PH2 will begin.

The only way Mahomes ever sees the field in 2017 is if the Chiefs absolutely tank the season and they just want to get his feet wet with a few games in year 1 or Smith gets injured and Bray absolutely stinks it up and they have no choice but to try Mahomes early.

Now if only there was a team out there we could get two 2nd round picks from.
Hopefully Mahomes turns out out better than Kapernick

It would be truly hilarious if that was the case.

Smith gets traded to another team and takes them to the playoffs year 1 again, like he did here.

Mahomes does well for a year and then falls off of the deep end along with the rest of the team. Coaching staff and FO gets fired and Mahomes busts, turns Muslim, worships Fidel Castro, and starts kneeling during the National Anthem.

The only thing it would affect is Smiths potential trade value , if thats a number above zero. I mean, I really don't think sending Mahomes out there immediately is a great idea..I'd rather see him sit behind smith a season or even two but ....*IF* he gets hurt I don't think its the end of the world...Its not like we are going to win more than maybe the wildcard game with smith......

As much as I hate smith I am not going to sit around and root for him to get hurt or do shitty....That was my problem with Cassel haters so I will be consistent....I'd rather see the team win 10 games....get to the wildcard and even lose it but get EXPERIENCE than start a rookie and win 1-2 less games and miss the chance at some post season experience...

You wont see me cheering for Smith's injury or shitty performances...I hope the guy does well.

Don't want him getting hurt. He needs to put up a good season. Chiefs will win 12 again, go to the playoffs and see what happens.

The best thing that could happen is Smith making it tough to go to Mahomes next year.

I know it's tough for you guys after this past weekend. But cheering for the Chiefs to bottom out just because you don't like the players they drafted? Yeah, not hypocritical at all.

Sure, theres always gonna be a few dumbasses..but by and large unless he strings together some really bad games and we lose 2-3 in a row and go like 3 and 6 I dont think you will see any kind of mass revolution by Chiefs fans...most are educated enough to know Mahomes needs a bit of time...

If we are around 4-3 by game 7 I really dont think you'll see this even if 1 or two of those losses is on ALex (which it probably wont be)
