The armed forces don't own the ****ing national anthem or flag for christ sake. In fact I think the protest have very little to do with them at all.

It doesn't have ANYTHING to do with them aside from the fact that they think it has to do with them.

I think the point is that they fought to defend that flag and that the anthem was written during and about a battle for this country. They feel disrespected for the price paid by those who have served. And frankly, I don't blame them. They are being disrespected by these ridiculous protests. As far as I'm concerned, Kaep is a traitor. I didn't realize that the Chiefs were showing solidarity with that piece of trash at the time. But once I read that they did, I was very disappointed in them for it.

Perhaps they should have worn ribbons instead. That seems to be the best way of promoting change these days.

All the arm-link for unity things were just that. Unity. Not unity with Kaepernik.

I much more saw it as a we are together thing than a we are with Kaep thing.

No hard on, just concern.

You stated you were perplexed by a fairly simple concept earlier. So perplexed you made what appeared to be a public plea for clarification.

I tried to help.

Then these other two come in and completely twist the system by getting mad at the people getting mad at the people who are mad.

Just trying to keep your knickers untwisted.

He has repeatedly stated that he has great respect for those who have fought in the military, and that's not what he's protesting. He's protesting that in his opinion the government hasn't held up its end of the bargain. Why don't you try and take a little effort to understand what he's actually said before declaring him a traitor?
