New Fall TV shows

So are there any new shows that we should be checking out? From what I've seen so far, I'm interested in Flash Forward, Modern Family, Bored to Death (HBO) and Community.

Anybody been watching White Collar? I've really enjoyed it up to this point, and their fall finale had one of the best WTF?! moments in recent memory.

Completely out of left field. They're really going to have to do some amazing writing come the second half of the season to pull it off I think. Cause while it was really cool and unexpected, it really didn't make sense. Yet.

Hehe, i am sure they have something real nice in store. I could see him being the bad guy though and Neil trying to cover it up so his wife wouldnt know.

I dont knwo where they are going with this. I think they are going to p ay White Collar and Burn Notice in Jan. That would be 2 hours of awesome tv.

Modern Family was outstanding last night (just caught it tonight on the DVR). Julie Bowen is the perfect wife on this show. I've been a huge fan since Ed (and Happy Gilmore before that), but she's perfect on this show. And the two gay guys make me laugh out loud 2 or 3 times every week. The chocolates in the box scene (there were 2 layers, you know it and I know it) was awesome.

Happy Gilmore, that's where I saw her.

Also I was watching Black Hawk Down the other night and the goofy Husband was on that as an army doctor.

I think the husband on Modern Family is probably my favorite character on the show. He just pulls off the "Dad who tries to be cool but isn't" shtick so well.

Loved his scenes this week..."Clive Bixby" name tag, attempting to smoke in the bar, going too far in complaining about his wife, etc.

My only complaint with Wed.'s excellent episode of Modern Family was that Mitch and Cam didn't get to show even a little physical affection, even on a Valentine's Day episode.

Why am I here? My wife is always tired and makes lists of things for me to do.

- Well maybe she wouldn't be so tired if you did the things on the list.

Oh no, she can make lists no matter what.

Brenner's jokes about the dad were great.

This got me into a discussion at work. Well, not this exact instance as I saw this episode later that night, but nonetheless.

I can't think of any Gays portrayed in a DRAMA. I'm also limiting it to males because lesbianism has always been the lesser of the two evils to most people. The only show I've seen that's addressed male-on-male action or even the concept inside a drama was the British show skins.

They're in comedies all the time. Yet, as you point out here, there's never physical affection.

Oz had some of the most complex and realistic homosexual relationships in the history of TV. The Wire, of course, had Omar and his boyfriends.

But I can't think of any U.S. network dramas that give us realistic gay men.

Doesn't Brothers and Sisters have a gay guy character.

Real Time, and Life and Times of Tim return Friday, as well as the debut of the new Ricky Gervais show, and something from Funny or Die.
