Annoying Neighbors...

People behind us put up a new privacy fence and faced the unfinished side to all the neighbors.

They had a fence company install it. You would think the fence company would be aware that it is a code violation to face the unfinished side to neighbors.

If they had installed correctly there would not not be a 5" gap that I now have to fill between the new fence and our adjoining fence so our dog can't get out.

It was a big tree, so if you planted one you could ruin half of the neighbor's yard at the cost of also ruining half of your own yard.
I'm guessing it was a buckeye/horsechest nut tree. Neighbor had one when I lived on the east coast.

Maples just spread the seeds like mad and they go everywhere. Silve Maples also get huge and then start breaking off large branches.

We have tons of them in around here. Have to be careful walking on the sidewalks after dark when they are everywhere.

There's nothing more enjoyable than walking barefoot through a field of these:

I have one of those trees. They're the worst. They're actually all over some neighborhoods in KC. I hate those damn gumballs.

Slam your door shut next time. Hopefully her cats scratch the hell out of her.

For one, they propagate like weeds. They will literally spring up everywhere, including in the middle of gravel. Second, they're prone to internal rot, making them a hazard anytime there's a strong gust of wind.

You're probably talking about a sweet gum tree. They have seed pods that look kind of like see urchins.

The best trees around here are ginkgo trees. The fruits fall off and rot. The smell is reminiscent of dog shit.

You should type up a fake research paper that discusses how surprise loud noises are healthy for cats since it stimulates their sensory system. Put a bunch of citations in it of other fake cat-noise studies, and include quotes from famous cat scientists.

My neighborhood was established in the 70s. We have so many mature, undesirable types of trees.

We have 4 osage orange stumps, those ****ers will be here long after WWIII, two living ones and a mulberry tree in our yard. Neighbors have silver maple, sycamore (all the leaves end up in my yard), sweet gum, cottonwood, bradford pears.

I need to just sell this place and move out to the country on property that has mature pine and oak trees.

This is my worry. There is one in the yard next to us that is at least 75ft tall. Might be 40 feet from our house.

Yep. And a real strong wind carries the bigger maple limbs farther because most of them are hollow.
