PFF: Ranking of Secondaries & OLs

Finally, a bit of pre-pre-season football analysis! PFF came out with their ranking of NFL Secondaries and Offensive Lines. Chiefs were in at #13 for secondaries and #17 for OLs. Methinks that at this point in time, that's probably reasonable.

Anyway, here are the links for your reading pleasure:

He's a great blocker (anyone should be at that size) but that's a horrible play to showcase it. Suggs didn't even see him.

Well, yeah.

I'm not gonna compare the blocking ability of a TE to that of a wr.

First one I found on Youtube.

And Jimmy Graham probably would've failed at it, somehow.

You're kidding? You'd take the Dolphins group over Gronk/Bennett/Edelman/Amendola? The Redskins are one stud and a bunch of warm bodies for the most part.

I could go on, but hey, whatever. Go with it.

Nah, Skins have D Jax and Reed. They're both ballers.

Garçon is still serviceable.

They also just drafted Doctson in the 1st, who could step in and be a great #2 off the bat.

So D Jax / Reed / Garcon >> Gronk / Bennett / Edelman / Amendola?

Yeah, no.

IMHO anyway.

Potential is great, but it's just potential.

And almost no WR anywhere in the league steps in and is a great starter "off the bat". It's very rare, as it usually takes a year or two to adjust to the pro game. Not always, but almost always.

Lol it's literally happened every year for the past few.

Besides, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

I think it's debatable. I was more speaking to your statement that the Skins are one good guy and a bunch of warm bodies.

Sure, for like one guy out of the dozen drafted.

There are also busts every year.

It's a fair point. Reed is better than a warm body. Garcon is better than average, I guess, but not great. One great year, but otherwise nothing terribly exciting.

Are you aware of how many really good to great young WR's there are from the past couple of drafts?

It's more common than you think.
