Soria isn't bad, he hasn't pitched that well as of recent but it's REALLY early to make any judgments on that.

But Herrera is becoming an elite bullpen arm, by league standards. He could close on just about any team right now. Agreed you have to completely shut down innings 8-9 and you put him and Davis in, game over...game is shortened...Royals kick everyone's ass. What a great formula, Davis has been an absolute gem...without him this team doesn't win a WS. I can't remember the last time the Royals won any trade...but man they bent TB over and went to town in that Wil Myers trade. Whats he doing now?

Soria should be used when Herrera or Davis can't go or need rest like a game before an off day or something, day game after a night game etc.

Some day managers will start using their closer in the 8th to face the 3-4-5 hitters. But you can't do that now because the pitchers would just FREAK OUT apparently if they come in in a different inning than they're used to.
