2016 KC Chiefs Goat(s)

Every year there a few Chiefs who I start out being kind of "down" on. You know, guys who are supposed to be better than their performance, or new guys who you just can't warm up to.....so, you don't exactly hate 'em, but you watch them with suspicion.

Examples of prior such "goats" include:

Alex - Too darned risk averse (i.e. deflated balls)
Fisher - Expected more of a #1 pick
Ford - Terrible at everything except first step
Wilson - Won't dive for the ball
Sorensen - Not fast enough
Parker - Misses too many tackles
DAT - Timid
Fleming - Too toasty
Gaines - Brittle
Santos - Any kicker can qualify to be disliked with a couple of bad kicks
Colquitt - See above
Etc.

Anyway, this year, the guy I'm most "down" on is Mr Dee Ford. I think the guy has a ton of physical talent, but I question his football IQ and his dedication to the sport. Yeah, perhaps he's a new man this year, but I'm gonna have to see it to believe it.

Second on my list this year is DAT. Hard to fathom what the heck happened at the end of last year. Does the guy really want to be here?

My third guy is Knile Davis. Guy has some talent, but puts the ball on the rug way too much. Hold onto the fricking ball!

So, who do you have a wayward eye on this year? Fire away, lads.

This shouldn't be listed under HB - It should be under Phat Andy.

The HB's we have are B E A S T L Y.

By far (with a healthy Charles) the best 3 deep HB group in the league. BY FAR.

We have the best HB's in the league - period.

Andy just needs to run the ****ing ball more...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Wow his foot work looks as incredible as ever. I can't wait until he puts on the pads again and starts racking up TD's!!

Completely agree-especially with running the ball more. Use all the plays that Alex dumped off behind the line of scrimmage and change them to runs or slants. No way we would lose yardage as much as those plays did.

Having JC back is going to give Defensive coordinators nightmares.

Yep.
And he lost massive bets last season. I am supposed to own his av and sig.
But I guess he just gets to come back with another account and resume the same tired shit to continue getting the reactions he craves because people are still dumb enough to give them to him.

Why any of them respond to his obvious baiting is beyond me.
He just does it to F with them and they bite every single time.

I hope you aren't putting me in the same category as Clay.

I honestly thought he believes his BS takes, or at the very least is trying to play the negative side so he could look back and say "I told you so" if a meltdown occurs. I won't be responding to him anymore though because he's obviously just a troll, hence the mysterious Houston "major knee injury" in college.

I would throw out Demetrius Harris. He's taken up a roster spot for 3 years now. He's had ONE memorable catch against Oakland.

We were 12th in running attempts while figuring out what we have at the RB position. Which led to being 3rd in YPC and 2nd in rushing TDs. Andy isn't afraid to run the ball contrary to popular belief, and with a stable of 3 good-to-great options at RB that are all capable of carrying a bulk of carries, I think it should be expected this is a top 3 rushing team.

Team that with a vast playbook and multiple electric options in the passing game, as well as a very good defense that will consistently challenge if not win the line of scrimmage battle week in and week out. This is going to be a fun team to watch. Only thing that can mess this up is the health of players.

Actually, he was injured for a year and the running game is noticeably better when he's available.

Think of him as Jason Dunn and not Tony Gonzalez.
