Potential leaked footage from the Deadpool movie

Take it for what it's worth. Apparently it's a CGI movie with Reynolds as the voice of Deadpool.

Someone needs to tell director 'Francis' Tim Miller to lighten up and make us a movie!

That would be interesting. Love his stuff, but totally different tone.

Would be interested to hear from Kiimosabi regarding Ryan Reynolds level of involvement with the marketing teasers. He gets most of the credit for those, and since I found most of them to be hilarious, I'd feel a little more comfortable if that were the case. Wonder if they'll let Reynolds direct? Don't know if that would be a good thing or a bad thing.

And just noticed that IMDB has Kyle Chandler as Cable (rumored). I don't know who he is, so time to check out a couple of his performances I guess. I know a few people here have raved about the show Bloodline which he stars in, so maybe I'll go check that out.

Then again, apparently Reynolds didn't want Chandler and he was one of the reasons Miller left?

At least the writers are supposedly still the same.

And just no to Liam Neeson as Cable.

Reynolds pretty much spearheaded it getting made and the tone and humor intact. I would give him the lionshare of credit for the first one's success.

I'd defer to his creative control for the sequel, but no way I'd hand him directing duties in addition.

It shouldn't be too hard to find a new director.

I will agree with Reynolds having the lion's share of humor and tone, but in no way do I think Miller's efforts were chump change. Let's not forget that his CGI sequence is the ONLY reason we got the first movie. If Reynolds' has casting authority, who we get as Cable and Domino will be the first test IMO.

Ya, but the talk was Miller wanting to make the sequel highly stylized and Ryan worried about the humor and bluntness not being maintained and authentic.

I'll pass on Miller feeling his need to stretch his cgi vfx legs and turning out a wachowski sisters type sequel.

Now that DP is arguably Fox's biggest DC cashcow, I'm already anticipating studio interference with forcing casting of roles.

We saw the cluster**** the last Xmen became when the studio demanded a rush job after the success of DoFP. I have little faith in Fox not to meddle.

Yeah, the talk was also that the Cable casting was the last straw, and Reynolds wanted Liam Neeson. Ugh. That would be absolutely horrible. Not sure what to believe yet.

Either way, together they made the best CBM to date. We'll see how Reynolds does on his own. I hope they both are successful moving forward.

I watched this the other night for the first time. I'm not a comic book guy, don't watch any of the Marvel/X-Men/Superman/Spiderman BS, don't care for sci fi (hated/walked out on Men In Black)...

but this movie was awesome.

Miller, known more for his visual flair than for the brash antics that Reynolds and his writers embraced and that fans loved, wanted a more stylish take, one that would compete with mega-budget superhero movies, insiders said. But it would have cost three times as much as the original $58 million film, the first individual said.

"There were two totally different movies on the table, and one of them just wasn't 'Deadpool," said the first insider, who is familiar with both concepts.

Reynolds, Reese and Wernick's vision won.
Sounds like Miller wanted to go big budget and Reynolds wanted to stick with what they did for the first one.
