The secret ingredient is Yuengling Black & Tan but since I can't get that in Texas the secret ingredient is now Shiner Bock.

I have never had great chili. I've had some good chili, but i always think "this could be better." Same goes for spaghetti.

Ah, a squirrel based recipe, right? I believe that is referred to as "Tuscaloosa chili." |

Yep, they also use a little ground cinnamon. Takes some getting used to, though. Steak and Shake does the same but without the cinnamon. I'm a fan of Steak and Shake's chili 5 ways, but the Gold Star chili and Skyline Chili never did it for me.

So does Steak and Shake. The Cincinnati Chili has to have cinnamon in it. I first tried it years and years ago (Gold Star Chili and Skyline Chili) and I thought it was the nastiest crap I had ever eaten....took a while, but I actually acquired a taste for the nastiness..

I've been making a turkey version with kale and zucchini. Tasty and healthy.
