Candylicious: Round 1, Heats 17 through 20

Here are the rules. This will be a head to head tournament. For efficiency's sake, I will run four heats in each thread.

Therefore, I will put up four pairs of candies. For each pair, you will identify the candy that you would most like to have at the moment of voting. It doesn't necessarily have to be your favorite candy overall, just the one that sounds good right now. For visualization purposes, you may assume that you're out trick or treating (dressed as a gladiator), and the woman at the door is offering you your choice of two options. You can only pick one, or if you would turn them both down, you can pick zero (not to be confused with the Zero bar).

So to summarize, you will vote for four candies in each thread, one candy per heat. And here they are!

Heat 17:

Pearson's Bun - Vanilla versus gumdrops

Heat 18:

Goobers versus Ferrero Rocher

Heat 19:

Curly Wurly versus Mr. Goodbar

Heat 20:

Jolly Ranchers versus Sour Razzles

Because they don't in any readily accessible capacity. And frankly I'm suspicious that you can even get some of these any more. Let's be honest. We live in a fat, over-sugared, glutinous society. If a candy was even remotely good, you would have heard about it. It would be available in every Quick Check and 7-11 and Walmart. We are scraping the bottom of the barrel with some of this stuff, and because of that, Goobers gets the shaft in the first round.

I kinda disagree. Some stuff, even when it's good, just remain regional products.

Sounds pretty good I will keep an eye out for it.

Chocolate covered pretzels have been around forever and I like them. I dont even give a hoot if they came out in the 1900s good is good.

I don't know why, maybe there's a joke in there that I don't get. However, I do not like Skittles.

It's not even that I think Goobers are awesome. Hell, I voted for F.R. My comment was just based on some of the off the wall candies that made the cut that clearly (with all of 5 to 10 votes) no one likes.

Lots of stuff does, I completely agree. But nothing I've seen in this contest fits that criteria. If there is, please feel free to point it out. I was taking a shot at the nationally (or globally) know candies that most people agree are awful, but are still in this contest. There was clearly a deluge of weird, old, and niche candies that were posted. That's all.

Fair enough. Not bottom of the barrel. Goobers are just sitting on top of the stuff on the bottom of the barrel.

Who is no one. Is this the person who only eats peanut butter cups but feels free to determine for everyone whats good and what isn't?

Oh, well we've got that smellypitts idiot to thank for that. He spammed the nomination thread with any candy that came to mind.
