Not even close. Not even remotely close to being close. So far from close that it is, in fact, far.

I gotta stop this, but... at number 6 (assuming 1970 forward) the contenders are: Richard Seymour, Torry Holt, Walter Jones, Tim Brown, James Lofton, and John Riggins. Out of that group, I like Seymour, Jones and Brown over the rest, and think I would take Jones over all of them, as one of the top 3 or so best offensive tackles in NFL history.

I got bored and built a list...some did fall before 1970, but only a year or two.
1 OJ Simpson, Terry Bradshaw, Lee Roy Selmon, Earl Campbell, John Elway, Bruce Smith, Troy Aikman, Orlando Pace, Peyton Manning 2 Lawrence Taylor, Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk 3 Anthony Munoz, Barry Sanders, Cortez Kennedy, Larry Fitzgerald 4 Bob Griese, Joe Greene, John Hannah, Walter Payton, Dan Hampton, Derrick Thomas, Jonathan Ogden 5 Deion Sanders, Junior Seau, LaDanian Tomlinson 6 Floyd Little, John Riggins, James Loften, Walter Jones 7 Champ Bailey, Adrian Peterson 8 Larry Csonka, Ronnie Lott, Willie Roaf 9 Brian Urlacher (wins by default) 10 Marcus Allen, Rod Woodson, Jerome Bettis 11 Michael Irvin, Ben Roethlisberger 12 Warren Sapp, Haloti Ngata 13 Fred Dryer, Kellen Winslow, Tony Gonzalez 14 Jim Kelly 15 Alan Page 16 Jerry Rice, Troy Polamalu 17 Gene Upshaw, Emmitt Smith 18 Art Monk 19 Roger Wehrli 20 Jack Youngblood 21 Lynn Swann, Randy Moss 22 Andre Rison (at least his gf burned down his house) 23 Ozzie Newsome 24 Ed Reed 25 Ted Washington, Tim ****ing Tebow (it was close, but I had to go with the guy who actually played) 26 Joe DeLamielleure, Ray Lewis 27 Dan Marino 28 Darrell Green, Derrick Brooks 29 Hakeem Nicks (who else?) 30 Reggie Wayne (who else?) 31 Nnamdi Asamugha (who else?) 32 Logan Mankins The morel of the story is, take a DT at #12, a WR at #21 and kiss your ass goodbye if you are picking 22 and 25. |

Overall your list isn't bad, but Riggins isn't even a top 10 RB all-time. Cant' see taking him over a top 2-3 tackle. Quote:
Oh my God no. Like I said, overall not bad, but this one is crazy.

I just don't like Randy Moss. For as good as he is/was, I still consider him a waste of talent. If he had applied himself even remotely like Jerry Rice did, I can't imagine what he could have achieved. |

Also, he's been on like half the top 10 offenses in the history of the league. Considering how many different QBs and systems he's done it with, it's not hard to say he was the reason why. He was also one helluva catch from david tyree from being a superbowl champion. Mostly he didn't take shit from anybody and didn't give a damn about what people thought of him. Personally, that gets my respect. Also, this: GIFSoup |
