This, ladies and gentlemen, is what the Sceneitall tournament is all about. These are five heavyweights slugging it out to claim two spots. Who's going to prevail? My votes:
#1 - Pulp Fiction. It's going to take an elephant gun of a scene to knock this bad m*****f****r down. This one has greatness written all over it. #2 - Glengarry Glen Ross. The fact that a sales meeting scene is still going strong in Round 3 attests to the strength of this scene. Great dialogue and great acting. #3 - Anchorman. I know, I know. Will Ferrell is pathetically unfunny. But this scene is an exception. This is to Will Ferrell as American Pie is to Don McLean. #4 - Full Metal Jacket. This could easily be as high as #2. It's really just a matter of my mood today and my tolerance for seeing brain matter on a bathroom wall. Today's not the day for that. #5 - Goodfellas. Someone has to come in last. This is a great scene, but it's discomfitting enough that it knocks down my enjoyment a bit.

Kinda easy pick, I thought...Goodfellas and Pulp.
I never have seen Full Metal Jacket but I watched the clip...typical Alan Alda/liberal view of the military, I guess. Not for me, thank you. Will Ferrell makes my skin crawl. Glengarry Glen Ross was at least in the running, but was kind of a distant third. |

They're both still alive in the tourney. I struggle with which one I like better.

I really thought this one was going to be a dogfight. Doesn't look like it's headed that direction.

Pulp (may be best scene in the movie)......and Goodfellas.
This was extremely painful to exclude coffee and anchorman.....

Holy cow. Goodfellas is putting a beatdown on all of the other scenes. Is it time to start wondering if it's a contender to take it all?
