Why is my internet so damn slow?
I have 1 gig internet up and down and this is all I get on wifi

If you have a router with a 100 mb wan port then that is the max you are going to get... Those ac routers with a 100 mb wan port advertise 867 mb etc but thats only internally when it is talking to other devices in your network. If you have really fast internet it muse say 10/100/1000 for the port speeds wan and ethernet or you may as well stay with your N router.

All that jazz, hard wired I actually pull over 300 mbs per second but getting anything close to that over wifi is basically impossible.

I pay for 100 mbps, $59.99/month. This is my speed with direct connect Ethernet cord from my desktop.

Rest of house on wifi runs about 80 mpbs and we never have lag or need for buffering.
