Need Help with non-vesa (mounting brackets) monitor ideas..

Ok, so it's been a few years since I've bought a LCD monitor. Grabbed a deal on an Acer from Newegg but the back is not vesa compatible.

For those that don't know, vesa was a standard set for 4 screws on the back of a monitor to attach to a swing arm/mounting bracket.

From further checking I see many manufacturer's are not adding this feature anymore. Why?

Anyways... searching through tons of search links I discovered this

From this site http://esiergo.com/products/monitors...ns/ENCLOZE.asp

Yet it's not available yet. So I'm stuck and need some ideas. I read one forum where an individual epoxied a block of 2x4 to the back and then drilled holes for his attaching bracket.

I can't believe I'm going to have to invent something so I can use this on my swing arm.

Anyone else have this problem and come up with a solution?

Thanks in advance.
