CHIEFS GAME MOVED TO LA!

NFL officials just confirmed as well. Like the idea of proceeds going to help fire victims, including first responders. Maybe encourage fans to bring necessities to game for donations, à la Harvesters. So much for training in Denver, Coach McVay.

Well, yes, kinda. But you're not factoring in the bribes and the ransom money I had budgeted for. I feel flush with cash after the flight change fee and hotel deadweight loss. And the certainty I'll actually wake up alive on Tuesday morning? Priceless.

For the record, this is the same financial calculus anyone going to a game in Oakland also encounters.

I get it. If someone would have got injured - even if the field was fine - the media circus and bad PR would be a nightmare.

What I don't get is not having this figured out waaay before now.
I think the player threats and getting the NFLPA involved was the dealbreaker. There was no chance the union was going to certify that field and then this was just going to become a massive conflict that would've been aired in public. And coming at the same time as the Le'Veon Bell drama and on the heels of the Earl Thomas injury, it would've been horrific optics. Players are becoming more aggressive in protecting themselves and I'm all for it. Their shelf life is short and their contracts have a fraction of a guarantee. And who can blame their not wanting to subject themselves to this field?

Sweet. A Chiefs home game similar to the Chargers?

That can't be right unless they are staying in Colorado Springs to avoid the wildfire issues?

If I remember right, they bumped that game up to a Thursday or Friday night game??

George Toma could NOT have gotten that field ready .... The weather played a part as it's been wetter than expected - But a concert 9 days ago ??
I'd expect someone in the NFL is losing their job over it though
