Our O-line is pretty good.
According to PFF, KC and Oakland led league in allowing fewest QB pressures last year. As they keep playing together, they should continue to do well.

Alex Smith had one of the quickest releases in the NFL last year. That helped a lot. But they are certainly better than what we've had in the past few years.

Funny you should mention this. While watching the GIF's of Tyreek Hill, what stood out to me was the outstanding protection Alex had in a lot of those plays.

I have to disagree.
As a rookie in 2014, he started all 16 games for the Chiefs.
He was first Chiefs 6th or 7th round pick to start in the club’s Week 1 contest in three decades.
In 2015, He started six games at center in place of Morse.
In 2016, he started 12 of 16 games at left guard. The Chiefs won 12 games last year.
In my opinion, he'd be a starter on most teams.

Yes, short passes might skew the stats. And, those short passes might be by design from pre-snap coverage.

As much as people want to blame Smith for 100% of the Offensive woes, Andy's game plan plays into his numbers.
