Movies and TV IMDB doing away with message board - Page 2

Kind of sad to see it is going away. I always found some good conversation with fans of smaller movies I have liked.

kinda sucks, you would at times see writers for canceled tv shows post on them messageboards and give out the remaining story on what would have happened if the show hadnt gotten canceled. found some good tidbits on a few shows before.

Abandoned it a long time ago.
Somewhere along the way, they adopted a ridiculous account verification method [take this scrap of paper to the DMV on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and have the custodian swipe the paper with floor cleaner, write the code that show up under ultraviolet on a carrier pigeon tag, and affix it to the leg of an unladen barn swallow], so I never bothered verifying it.

I never post - but I only go to IMDB to read message boards.

If I want to know if a movie is good, I go to Rottentomatoes. Terrible idea to get rid of the message boards IMO.

I go to IMDB to lookup cast mainly, never used the message boards. Didn't know anyone did.

I peruse it very occasionally if I look up someone I know very little about. Sometimes it has info that isn't in their bio.

They closed it a day early, it wasn't supposed to be shut down until tomorrow. Oh well its gone now.
