No, I'm afraid the obvious media/fan double standard between LeBron and Curry (or really any other player in the NBA) would exist regardless of whether I like the Warriors or not.

I think there's some truth to this, but :

1) Who cares?
2) LeBron made his bed, now he gets to lie in it. He made enough decisions along the way to turn people off that the judging is inevitable. I think he'll survive.

Of course he will. He's long past the point of giving a shit what anybody thinks of him and knows he's held to a different standard than any other player in the league. But it's always enjoyable to point out hypocrisy when you see it.

Fine, but I don't think LeBron needs coverage. Curry is a likable guy who has earned some passes from the fans. LeBron has certainly matured, but he's made plenty of decisions that earn him the negative reactions.

Curry caught plenty of shit from the Golden State fanbase early in his career... the only reason he wasn't called "a bust" by the national media was because the Warriors were also rans....

WTF? He averaged 18 PPG as a rookie and nearly 19 the following year. He was never anything resembling a bust. Hell...he should have won ROTY but finished second.

More so due to the injury. I never thought he was going to be a bust, but I sure in the hell didn't think he was going to be great. There were segments of the fanbase that thought the Warriors were stupid for trading Monta Ellis instead of Curry. I wasn't one of them.. I was pretty good with getting Ellis the **** away from Curry.
