I absolutely hate company christmas parties and don't go unless it is practically required. My wife is going to her work party tonight. I wasn't about to pay for babysitting for that so I am staying home.

The other thing I hate is people feeling the need to buy gifts at work. UGH I hate that crap.

What does that have to do with gift giving in the workplace? I'm easy to get along with.
Sorry, but I consider gift giving for family and close friends. When gift giving started kicking in for co workers, babysitters, teachers and other professions..... I tired of that. It is all just a guilt trip now. If somebody gets you a gift now you feel obligated to get them a gift. Thats not the spirit of the season. Just keep it simple. Family and close friends.

Mines next sunday night.Told the Boss yesterday I would not be attending.
Hate Christmas parties and my co-workers.Add alcohol and my big mouth. Not a good combination.Better to stay home with the kids.

It's ****ing silly? Why are you poking this bear? All is well, I'll see ya Monday when I'm ready for work. We have plenty of time to talk. I know some people really love this stuff but have a heart for people who just don't like it or it's not in their social agenda. It's probably for the best. |

Ours is always during the work day. 21st this year. As soon as the date was announced, I put in for a vacation day.
