Exactly. Andy and co know the D is struggling (to put it mildly) and that they have to put the hammer down from the first snap on.

Our defense will be flat and that's expected. If we somehow are down 14-0 in the second quarter, I can't wait to see how much Mahomes attacks when he has to catch up rather than protecting a lead.

I welcome the trap game.
Wouldnt argue with a word of that, the sound that post of mine made was only the last vestiges of my 'because Chiefs' battered fan syndrome choking on its last, gasping breaths

The Truth (Mahomes). Doesn't get trapped. He springs the traps and kicks you in the balls.

The Home Opener is going to be loud, it always is. I have been to over 20 and they are always fun, except for the ones we lost. Young QB's have had a terrible time coming into Arrowhead over the years. We have destroyed guys like Leaf and Marinovich.

Unfortunately, we don't have the 95 DT lead defense waiting for Garoppolo, he gets a unit that has not found its groove yet. The defense this year has already been drug through the mud in the media and have played two straight road games against Vet QB's being protected by the NFL. Garoppolo won't get the star treatment like Broken Ben and Rivers did though. He is in for a long day.

Garoppolo has been terrible on 3rd down conversions at a measly 28.8% making him the worst QB in the NFL in that category. For as much as the 49ers are paying him, I am sure they are very disappointed in his play so far. With the crowd in full form- and known for its 3rd down ROAR, I don't foresee him being more efficient this week. Even if Jimmy Grapes doubles it to 57.6, he is still far behind Mahomes, who is clicking off third downs at a blistering 120.8 rating.

I think the defense is going to put together a solid game. Jones, Houston and Ford will be relentless forcing Jimmy Grapes into some bad decisions. He will have at least 2 turnovers even though they try to run the ball 65% of the time to keep our Offense on the sideline. They get a few calls their way and Scrandirp is good for at least 2 blown coverages so they end the day with 2 TD's and 3 field goals for 23 points.

I don't think the 49ers match up well against our receivers. They will get a tipped ball interception they manage to convert to a field goal, but other than that, will be overmatched. Watkins get a TD, Reek a TD, Kelce a TD and Hunt will have 1 rushing and 1 Receiving TD. ButtKicker adds a rare field goal after the refs stall one of our drives and Mahomes can't cover. 38 points.

38 to 23 Chiefs win. The game will never really be in doubt and the final score will make it look closer than what it is on the field. 4 more TD's for Mahomes who sets a new record again, knocking Manning off the books for the second straight week. Go Chiefs!!

All the Predictions in Bold were on the money including Chiefs for 38 points and a win.

Totally predicted the 3rd down woes of the 49ers- they only converted 2 of 9 tries for 22%- which was below their average and a big factor in the game. Chiefs converted 7-11 tries.

I knew Garappolo was going to have a bad game- going 20 / 30 for 251 and terrible on 3rd downs as I predicted. I stated that Arrowhead has been a nightmare for young QB's and this legend grows with Garapolo being carted off the field.

Other predictions:

Buttkicker had his rare field goal, Watkins got his first TD in Red, Hunt had 2 Td's ( although they were both running which messed up my prediction for 4 Mahomes TD's) and the game was never in doubt.

Mahomes also broke Mannings record again this week.

So that is 3 weeks in a row I have laid the game out pretty close to what it ended up being. Maybe I should start charging for this as my predictions have almost been spot on and the National media have been way off.
