Chiefs Trade G Rishaw Johnson to Buccaneers for S Kelcie McCray

Buccaneers HC Lovie Smith announced Thursday that they have traded S Kelcie McCray to the Chiefs in return for G Rishaw Johnson, per the Pewter Report.

Johnson, 25, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of California University of Pennsylvania. he was reportedly competing with rookie Zach Fulton for the Chiefs right guard position.

There is no question the Buccaneers could use some extra depth at guard, which appears to be one of their biggest issues on their current roster.

Once the pads came on and Rishaw couldn't handle the bull rush then Fulton showed impressive technique and punch it was over.

This is essentially a Baldwin & Jenkins swap. It allows both teams to evaluate two players who weren't making the others 53.

No kidding, before training camp I thought he was a lock to start. He had a shitty camp but I hope we don't get owned on this trade. McCray did make a lot of plays on special teams last year. It's not much but it's something I guess.
