Albert staying is the best outcome from my perspective, because it means that the team actually got better as a result of the 1.1 pick, rather than just treading water by filling a created need.

That's my view. The team got better vs. standing pat with the first overall pick.

The total talent on our our offensive line got better, which is better than 1 step back and 1 step forward. maybe after negotiating with Miami Albert realized that his market value wasn't as high as he originally thought

Shhh...don't make too much sense. It's far better to whine about it. Most of the people crying this is a RT with the first overall are also the ones who wanted Geno Smith one overall.

Chargers, Titans, Cowboys and Dolphins.
Maybe he hasn't worked out for all of them, but he's visited them. Now that he's an ex-Chief, do we love Winston now?

I like Albert staying, I really do. He is a homegrown Chief and an above average player.
However... The moment he starts sucking we move Fisher to LT, or make Albert play RT from the start. You do not take RT's first overall. Fisher will be at LT eventually. |

Exactly how I feel except I'd rather see Albert at LG where he earns more than a RT and won't have to go through the pain of switching sides. I'd have no problem paying him top 10 to top 5 LG money. That's nothing to sneeze at.

So we move Albert to guard and draft Jake Matthews next year.
