Who knew Kelce had a better arm than Alex.

There's probably 5 or 6 non-qbs on the roster with a better arm than our starting quarterback.

Poor Kelce has always wanted to pass the ball. And that's the way it goes.

KCrockaholic:

I was reading an article about the game...When I got to the line - "Giants need to win back their fans to save Ben McAdoo's job ... Shepard will be back to help Evan Engram, who had the worst game of his rookie season." I clicked on the red 'X' on the top right corner...Unreal.

Quote:
Up to that point, Eli Manning had been 5-of-5 passing. It was also Vereen’s first career pass.
To make matters worse, "It was also Vereen’s first career pass."

Cue in the circus music...

McAdoo is gone once the season ends regardless. But I didn't realize that was Vereen's first career pass. I thought he had some QB in his past at some point like Kelce. I liked him in NE in 2014. Good receiving back.

That was a beautiful pass...has Reid used Kelce as QB in other games?

Coach him up...

No, that was his first career pass as well. Pretty stupid playcall at that moment.

Neither did I - Vereen is done - He was done when Jerry Reach signed him.

The Giants have to keep losing...I am afraid Mara will keep Ben and Jerry another season...Kill me.

I told this story before, however it is so mind-boggling it deserves repeating.

A few weeks ago, during the post-game press conference, a reporter asked Eli about hitting young receivers (off the street) down the middle or corner routes - Here was his answer:

Quote:
A: You know, tried to take a shot down the field just to try to put it kind of a line drive throw, put it in there. You know, we have to keep working on it. Sometimes we are getting some of these throws for the first time in games , so we just have to find a way to hit them in the live situations.
What head coach in their right mind would call a play for the first time during the game. Now you know why receivers constantly drop balls during the game. Eli is not a quitter, but he should quit and join the rest of the team.

Mara and Tisch (whatever he does), should sell the team...

The excitement is going to be so overwhelming we're going to have goddamn aneurysms .
I, for one, am way past ready. I was 25 when Blackledge was drafted and because of coaching, ownership or whatever, I always felt that he was never really given a chance to succeed. Make a mistake, get pulled and put Kenney in. College players need time to adjust, Elway, Manning and other quarterbacks that were good were turnover machines their first few years.

Will the fan base be willing to endure the growing pains? Will ownership be willing to listen to the media blast them for making a possible mistake?

I hope so because I'm getting tired of the lather, rinse and repeat formula of regular season success followed by post season suck-ness.

I took it as, it's the first time they've run the route in a game...I'm sure they've practiced it...
