Reid has his flaws, but compared to MANY other "Head Coaches" out there in the NFL we could be doing a lot worse. Remember Romeo?

No, no you wouldn't. You'll probably feed the beast (running game) next game and then be right back to Smiff airing it out...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Getting Hepatitis is better than getting Ebola, but at the end of the day you'd rather catch neither.

The sense I get with Reid:

He's usually excellent at coming up with gameplans, which is why he wins more often than not. But when going up against superior competition, if the gameplan doesn't work or if the opposition adjusts adequately, he is often too slow to adjust from what he wants to do, which leads to games like the Niner game.

It didn't help that our TOP was so low, didn't give us much margin for error, which magnifies those plays...

You mean the 1:30 our defense let us have the ball was not good enough in the 4th quarter? Why do you think this?

Reid is as stubborn about passing the ball as Marty was at running the ball. The 49er game was very winnable. With a better game plan it could have happened despite all the bad calls and only 2 flags that went against the 49'ers. It's exactly the kind of game you point to in the off season as to why you're watching the playoffs on TV rather than playing.

Maybe had the Chiefs RAN more, utilizing the BEST RB TANDEM in the NFL, our TOP might have been different...

Maybe Reid has Alzheimer's. It would explain how he could make this same apology after game one and then forget again by game four.

He doesn't have someone in his ear telling him to pound the rock.
