So Larry and SMU got completely screwed by the committee. Had an entire watch party for the thing too. Sad, but I'm sure they'll be in next year if he stays around.

You don't have to explain to me why they kept SMU out. It's their RPI (which is a product of their schedule). The problem is that SMU is better than at least two dozen teams in this tournament and they're not going to be in it because the committee relies on an archaic measure to select and seed teams.

Well, why not eliminate all the charity invitations for canon-fodder teams from minor conferences? If you want the best 64 teams then get the best 64 teams.
