Chris Johnson To Become A Jet?

Looks like that is the latest most likely landing spot according to ESPN. This is fine with me. Just keep him out of the AFC West. If he goes to Denver or San Diego is would NOT be a good thing. So Jets sounds ok to me.

My money is he goes to Denver on a 2 year deal and kills it.

Dude has already made a sick amount of money for a running back, now it's time to win something and try to revive his career.

He's averaged over 4.5 YPC a whopping 2 seasons in his entire career. He's been living off of the legend of his 2K season for a few seasons now. He is simply a complimentary back for the rest if his career. Any team signing him to be their feature back is making a huge mistake. Teams have figured out that he refuses to run between the tackles and is always looking to bounce it outside.

I've felt he'd land in Denver all along. We'll see...

Eh. Mostly owed to Herm and Haley being too reeruned to play him and sticking him behind an obviously inferior running back named Larry Johnson.

Plus the injury. On a per play basis Charles is much better.

He'll be a decent pass catcher out of the backfield for them. I can see them using him similar to how they used Tomlinson with a reduced workload. It's a meh signing, not worth the $4M/yr he'll be looking for tbh.

Chris Johnson's only great season came with Vince Young.

There's a reason why RB's who who play with QB's who are a running threat produce so well. It keeps the D from pursuing as hard and opens up huge running lanes.

I think Chris Johnson could return to being very dangerous with Vick, as his rushing threat tends to keep DE's at home. This would be a smart move for him.
