North Dakota State's Carson Wentz
The buzz right now is that the 2016 NFL Draft has four QBs that could go in the first round.
The first three, the postsers in this forum have at least some famliarity with: California's Goff, Memphis' Lynch, and Michigan State's Cook. The fourth is now rumored to be NDSU's Carson Wentz. I've got a tentative opinion on him right now, but I'm wondering if anybody out there has a strong opinion at this point. 6'6", 235 lbs. Very good mobility. Here's a decent hello. Suffered wrist surgery this season, but until then was passing at 8+ yards per attempt at 65% accuracy with 16 TDs to 2 INTs. Thoughts? |

I've had a mancrush on this guy for a month now. He's going to go first round and I hope we take him.
My biggest mancrush was Goff but with us having no shot at him, Wentz is my guy. |

He seems to have durability issues. In his Q/A section in the link, he talks about running into injury problems in HS as well.
I'm sure he can bulk and toughen up once he gets an NFL strength/conditioning program behind him, but I'm hesitant to slap a 1st round grade on a guy who may need a red flag on his injury history. |

Brought him up a while ago. I'd easily grab him in the 1st.

Not a first round QB. Bad footwork. Bad pocket presence. Bad deep ball. Stares down targets. His scouting report should read much like Brock Osweiler's did a few years back. He's going to need time on the bench to develop. I'd take him late round 2 or round 3, but I'm not drafting this kid round 1.
