I could see it happening but really 6-8 wins seems pretty doable.

AFC West

Broncos 12-4 (2): Could be better than 2013 team even if wins and offensive output dip. But schedule is murderous.

Chargers 8-8: Last year's schedule allowed late-season charge. This year's could easily produce late-season slide.

Chiefs 4-12: Tight salary cap meant crippling free agent defections, and they didn't sufficiently reload in draft.

Raiders 3-13: Best thing influx of over-the-hill vets can do is change culture. Carr, Mack promise brighter days ahead.

Slim pickins. I agree about Winston. Mariota's interesting. This season should be telling in terms of his durability. I wouldn't want a QB that has to be durable.
Better QB class than the 2013 draft though..

Would you be pissed if the Chiefs picked up Cousins or Mallett? (Could they break through the wall with either?)

Who exactly did we lose in free agency that was such a devastating loss we can't possibly overcome? I'm not saying we're Super Bowl bound, but definitely not 4-12. The players we lost in free agency are hardly irreplaceable.

If you're not getting better then you're getting worse. Chiefs didn't upgrade at any position.

I don't see crippling free agent defections, rather, a lack of response to the defections.

Many don't want to admit that the Chiefs had it easy last season. They'll be tested this season and I doubt they'll hold up. The easiest way for the writer of the article to portray that fact is to say that the Chiefs will be "crippled" by defections. This means lack of depth, either way, the writer has made a sound prediction using round about methods. It's more palatable than saying the Chiefs fluked off a good season but, in reality they kinda suck.

Oh yeah, how could I forget that the Chargeless and Dung-keys had MUCH more difficult schedules than us..... Let's not forget how our whole division (except the Faiders) benefitted from an easy sched. Chargeless made the playoffs which they never would have if they played tougher opponents, and the Dung-keys set lots of offensive records against some crappy defenses. Don't worry, the Chiefs were the only ones who had the benefit of an easy sched last year. I'm sure your team will make the playoffs with all the big free agent moves you made this off season....

Possible but they know we play Oakland twice right? And Miami and tenn. Are on the schedule. We played Denver competitively for most of the game twice and nearly beat the whales vagina with backups. This team when working together can win games.
