While this is obviously true, we’re not in real danger of losing the division beyond 2017 also. If Mahomes can give us what we think he can, we get Berry back, and we can use the worthless cap space we have in our old vets on younger players at positions of need we can easily keep control of the division.

2017 is done. No need to panic beyond that yet though IMO.

Us long time fans of 40-50 years have lowered the bar so far for this organization that making the playoffs and winning a single game or finally drafting a QB in 1st RD after 27 years feels like a Super Bowl to us.
